ALLNUTT PARK

Public BBQ

Nestled among established trees and expansive lawns, Allnutt Park offers a harmonious blend of family recreation and canine companionship that somehow works beautifully despite the obvious chaos potential. The park cleverly segregates its dual personality with an upper off-leash dog area and lower family zone, though the boundaries seem more like gentle suggestions to the four-legged residents. Four barbecue burners anchor the family facilities, complemented by hireable gazebos through Glen Eira Council - though booking ahead prevents the disappointment of arriving to find your perfect picnic spot claimed by someone with superior planning skills. The playground, while compact, punches above its weight with equipment suitable for various ages, all nestled under generous shade that makes Melbourne's unpredictable weather more bearable. Clean toilets feature an unexpectedly delightful soundtrack, while rotundas provide civilised gathering spots for parties and celebrations.
